ART IN THE GARDEN

Let's become inspired by nature... 

We will not only be inspired by the fractal patterns and textures in nature but by the whimsical spaces one finds in the garden. Take a walk under an avocado tree or explore the berry bushes to find the magical homes of fairies and gnomes. Children will create their own renditions of these spaces as well as plant herbs, cook healthy treats and adorn the garden with nature inspired art. Field trips may include nature walks and trips to the nursery. (Ages 4-10)

PAINT SPLAT ACTIVE ART

Paint splattering, wheel turning, popping and spilling.

Join us for some fun in our new Paint Splat Space. Children will have the freedom to explore paint in new ways, build mechanisms to splatter paint such as pulleys, pendulums and bucket spills. Our immersive space allows for active art on another level. (Ages 4-10)

CREATIVE COOKING & CARNIVAL FUN

What’s on the menu at Camp Twirl...

Our little chefs will not only be making creative edible eats but they will be inspired by food artist to create whimsical iterations of their favorite treats through art and science. We will use a variety of methods and materials such as paper mache, clay, mosaics, screen printing and painting. The week will close with a fun carnival to showcase our creations. (Ages 4-10)

THE MAKERY LAB

Calling all inquisitive inventors...

This camp will focus on the process of making. A mistake isn't a mistake in art, it is an expression of the process it took to get to the end product. So let’s get our hands dirty diving into all sorts of art techniques and mediums. From pottery to print making, textiles and beyond. Our Makery Lab will be lush with creative inventions. Field trips may include walks to the library for design inspiration. (Ages 4-10)  

MYSTERY SLIME & POTIONS

Is it metallic or fluffy or explosive? Let's put our experimenter googles on and find out! 

We have been trying out all sorts of fantastic slime concoctions in our studio and now we are ready to pass these recipes on to our experimenters. The week will entail a mystery to solve and end with a collaborative volcano. Children will search for clues and evidence as they test out their slime making skills. Field trips may include a walk to the police dept for a tour or a chat with an officer (Ages 4-10)

PLAY GARDEN CAMP OUT

Time to bring out the fishing poles and camp fire smores! 

What's the best part of summer....Camping of course. We will be creating our own mini camp ground right here at The Twirl Play Garden. The week will entail tent making, nature scavenger hunts, star gazing-constellation maps, home made trail mix, team building activities and more. Field trips may include nature/park walks. (Ages 4-10)

WHIMSICAL WONDERS

What will our magic wands conjure up...

Wizard spells, fairy hideaways, castles and a dragons lair are just a few of the whimsical adventures we'll embark upon. We will take nature walks to collect sticks for weaving, build tee pees and paint sea shells for our mystical lands. (Ages 4-10)

Let's get messy with POTTERY CAMP!

Join us this summer in our Pottery/Mosaic Studio! Pottery is the perfect tactile art to introduce to children. Our class will go over basic concepts of wheel throwing, hand building and bisque painting. We will further explore texture and pattern through mosaic art towards the end of our week. (ages:5y-12y)

WE HAVE MOVED!

Please pack your child a snack, nut free lunch and water bottle.

Children should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

Apply sunscreen as we will be outdoors for this camp. We will have shaded canopies over the campers outdoor workshops. 

Please be on time. You will be assessed a late charge of $30 if you pick up late.

Look out for an introduction email for how check-in procedures will take place on the first day of camp.

Cancellation Policy: Withdrawals may be made by email, phone or in person within 14 days of camp start date. A 5% processing fee will apply. The remainder of fee will be placed as a credit on your account towards future classes/camps. Unfortunately because spots are limited, no credit is given for partial attendance. No portion of the tuition will be refunded if the child is absent, withdrawn, or should otherwise fail to complete the activity.

PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY OFFER CREDIT PER THE ABOVE. A REFUND WILL NOT BE GIVEN AS SPACES ARE EXTREMELY LIMITED. IF THE CANCELLATION IS ON OUR PART, WE WILL ISSUE A FULL REFUND.
